Brandon Rotbart - Mr. Rotbart was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. After graduating from the Ransom Everglades School in 1990, he attended the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he majored in chemistry and was a member of the Dean’s List. Mr. Rotbart graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law where he received his law degree in 1997.
During his undergraduate education, Mr. Rotbart worked as an intern with the Baltimore Public Defender’s Office in the capital appeals division. During law school, Mr. Rotbart did an internship with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, as well as with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also worked as a law clerk for Circuit Court Judge Eleanor Schockett, as well as for attorneys Mark Berkeley and Roy Black.
After passing the Florida Bar, Mr. Rotbart worked as an Assistant Public Defender with the Public Defender’s Office for the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida, and subsequently worked for attorney Alan Weinstein handling high profile criminal defense and divorce matters before opening his own law firm in 2003.
Mr. Rotbart is a member of the Florida Bar, as well as the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida. He is also a member of the Family Law Inns of Court, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Broad Fellowship. Mr. Rotbart has spoken at the University of Miami School of Law, the Nova University Law School, and at Miami-Dade Community College, and has been a judge at various moot court and mock trial competitions.
